Welcome
Welcome to the HyperCard Home Page. Here you can find information about the current release of HyperCard, where it is going, and how you can get there.

HyperCard is Apple's premier tool for creating custom software solutions for business, education, and multimedia. Commercial developers, consultants, in-house programmers, and end users can use HyperCard to acquire, manage, and display information anyway they want.

HyperCard organizes information into easy-to-use "stacks" of cards through which users can navigate and search for the information they need. Simply by clicking on a button, they can view related text, see a graphic, hear a sound, watch a QuickTime movie, or listen to text spoken out loud.

Background Information
This Web site provides background information on HyperCard, who uses it, as well as specific information on the new features and products included in current version, HyperCard 2.3.5. It also points you to other pages, both Apple sites and non-Apple sites, where you can learn more about HyperCard and related products, download stacks, XCMDs and XFCNs, and more.

Current Release
The current (December, 1996) release is the HyperCard 2.3.5 Value Bundle, which is the first step in moving HyperCard on to the Web.

The Value Bundle comes with:

  • LiveCard!
  • WebSTAR (time-limited but full featured release)
  • Movie Cleaner LE with Web Motion
  • Myst-- the best-selling interactive CD-ROM game that was created in HyperCard.

Developer Support
The Apple Interactive Media Group will also be supporting HyperCard developers through this Web site. Stay tuned for more information as we update and expand this site over the next few weeks.
